Effective Monday 28th June 2021, the Town and Country Planning Division’s (TCPD) online platform for development permitting, DevelopTT, will launch the Stamp Duty Exemption Correspondence and Status of Land Correspondence e-Services at the South Regional Office (SRO).

DevelopTT is coming to South Trinidad and Town and Country Planning Division’s (TCPD) T6, T7 and T8 Planning Regions! Are you ready for this transformation?

As such, manual applications for the Stamp Duty Exemption Correspondence and Status of Land Correspondence will no longer be accepted at the SRO effective June 28th 2021.   Stakeholders within the region are encouraged to register for the DevelopTT platform to utilize these soon to be launched e-Services.

The SRO is currently being operationalized in preparation for its successful DevelopTT integration with continued training, registration and other key measures having been undertaken since the turn of the year. The Division would also like to note that upon successful integration of the Stamp Duty Exemption Correspondence and Status of Land Correspondence e-Services, the DevelopTT Planning Permission e-Service will be made available to the SRO. This e-Service will allow applications to be processed digitally at the respective South-based Municipal Corporations.

As such, manual applications for the Stamp Duty Exemption Correspondence and Status of Land Correspondence will no longer be accepted at the SRO effective June 28th 2021.

With the aim of “transforming the construction permitting process” through its DevelopTT platform officially initiated in March 2020, the Division launched both the Stamp Duty Exemption Correspondence and Status of Land Correspondence digital e-services in the T1 and T5 Planning Regions in February 2021. On April 30 2021, the TCPD’s North Regional Office (NRO) which covers both the T1 and T5 Planning Regions, ceased the acceptance of paper-based applications for the two services.

To date, the NRO has received over 20 Stamp Duty Exemption Correspondence applications and approximately 70 Status of Land Correspondence applications via the DevelopTT platform.

What is a Status of Land Correspondence? Get in the know about this TCPD e-service which will be available in the South Region via the DevelopTT platform from 28th June, 2021.
