DevelopTT: ‘Transforming the construction permitting process’

Through DevelopTT, the development application and approval processes are transformed from paper-based to an online system. Applications for planning permissions, building permits, completion certificates and other property development approvals can be accessed via this e-service. Applicants are guided through the process of obtaining permissions across multiple agencies in a seamless approach, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of the process.

What do you need to access the DevelopTT e-service?

Users must be registered with ttconnect and hold valid TTBizLink credentials in order to access the portal.

This is how you register for DevelopTT

Option 1 ————————————————

For new users of TTBizLink & ttconnect services:

Step 1: You will require a ttconnect ID. To obtain your ttconnect ID, visit www1.ttconnect.gov.tt/itim_expi/selfregister.jsp and enter the required information. After creating an account at the above site, an e-mail will be sent to you to activate your ttconnect ID online.

Step 2: Download and complete the appropriate registration form. These forms are accessible via this link:

Form A is for Individual Registrants

Form B is for Company/Business Registrants

Step 3: After you have completed the first two steps, you must visit any one of the registration locations for verification purposes.

Remember to take with you the completed TTBizLink registration form, along with any required documents which include originals of at least two (2) valid forms of the following identification documents:

Driver’s Permit                             National Identification Card

Electronic Birth Certificate        Passport

Step 4: After verification at the ttconnect office, your documents will be processed within 3 hours. Subsequently, you will receive an e-mail to complete the enrolment process. Email the completed form(s) to ttconnect at satelliteoffice.ttbizlink@gov.tt

For existing TTBizLink users with a valid ttconnect ID:

Step 1: Download and complete the appropriate registration form. These forms are accessible via this link:

Step 2: E-mail the completed form(s) to ttconnect at satelliteoffice.ttbizlink@gov.tt Within 3 hours of submission, you will receive e-mail confirmation of your enrolment and will be able to login to DevelopTT.

Step 3: Click Login button on www.developtt.gov.tt then enter your existing TTBizLink username and password.

Where can you register?

Registration can be done via the ttbizlink.gov.tt website or any of ttconnect’s service centres nationwide.

How does DevelopTT work?

  • DevelopTT Takes a step-by-step approach to obtaining permissions across 24 government agencies
  • Gives Access to Online Maps for the identification of land parcels
  • Each user has a Unique ID and Password that is used to access the system anywhere and at any time
  • Applications can be Tracked from the comfort of your home
  • Multiple application statuses can be tracked through a Personalised Dashboard
  • Provides capabilities for online Viewing and Printing of decision letters
  • Users are notified of key status Updates by Text/SMS and email

During the piloting of the system, DevelopTT will welcome the submission of digital Planning Permission applications within the boundaries of the Port of Spain City Corporation for the entire three-month duration of the pilot phase. Meanwhile, Planning Permission applications within the boundaries of the Diego Martin and San Jaun/Laventille Regional Corporations will be accepted in months two and three of the pilot phase.
